Carolyn Carter is an artist and illustrator from Windsor in Berkshire, she also lived and worked in and around the beautiful city of Bath for 20 years after her Illustration/graphic design degree at Bath Spa.  

​

She has worked professionally as in-house artist for 2 greetings card publishers, 'Meri Meri' and 'Ling Design'.

 

Alongside this she has exhibited in group and solo shows of her original paintings as well as in showing in Galleries and undertaking individual commissions.

 

Carolyn works in a wide variety of media, her watercolour and acrylic paintings are rich in colour and light, often inspired by the countryside and wildlife around her. 

 

Her recent bird paintings have explored the fascinating character of these creatures, their beauty and the significance of song and flight as metaphors for freedom. These paintings have been published on a range of gift and stationery by Portico Designs
